Meet author, Angela Caligone

Angela E. Caligone, an aspiring author born in Galveston, Texas has learned how to overcome a lack of confidence and low self-esteem due to her life as an adopted child. She discovered a passionate love to help and encourage those who have had similar experiences such as hers, to push past their hurt and lead successful lives. Her heart is to help parents notice the passing down of their hurt and pain to their children and also to recognize the power of the words that they plant in a little one’s heart. Angela is blessed in marriage to her husband and best friend, Big Al. She has no children of her own, but she is the God-mother of several beautiful children and two wonderful dogs, Brindle and Cali. Angela is a graduate of Houston Community College and holds Certificates in Management and Human Resource Management. She is also a Certified Christian Counselor and a Certified Trauma Resolution Therapist. Angela is also a former student of The College of Biblical Studies and is currently tucked away in the corporate world in Houston, Texas. She is the author of, “A Mother’s LOVE” and “A Mother’s LOVE…Continues”. She continues to write more inspirational books for future release.

About the Author: Angela has established herself as a professional writer and has accomplished a great deal with her first release, “A Mother’s Love” as it has touched the lives of many with her story of inspiration and hope. Angela won 2nd place in Patti Labelle’s Mother Day Contest 2008. She has received many requests for her third release and has a heart to write books giving God the glory for all the great things He has done in her life and in the lives of others. She has stories to tell and lessons learned to share. Since the release of her first published book in August 2005, she has appeared as a featured guest author and speaker at many events to include The Martin Luther King Celebration in Lufkin, Texas and KRBE’s local radio show, TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) Praise the Lord Show and The Harlem Book Fair in New York City, NY. Angela, had the opportunity to present a reading of, “A Mother’s LOVE” at the Librarians of Color Conference in Dallas, Texas. “A Mother’s Love” was recognized as Book of the Month with Sisters Sippin’ Tea Book club of Nacogdoches, Texas. Angela and “A Mother’s Love” have been honored guests at several churches in the Southeast Texas area including The Church Without Walls, 5th Ward Baptist Church in Houston, and also Antioch Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas which have all supported Angela wholeheartedly in her new endeavor.

About the Book: A Mother's Love is a true story emphasizing God's enduring love to an adopted young girl, Angela, who grew to know Him intimately after a troubled childhood.  The book deals with the spiritual challenges of rejection, disappointment and lack of purpose, as well as God's path to restoration. A Mother's Love is an inspirational love story -- a true story.  This story could be the story of so many children who have gone through similar situations.
